Ares liet de messen maken voor een dienaar die de messen waardig zou zijn. De Blades of Chaos waren het eerste paar geketende messen die Kratos gebruikte in de God of War-serie.
De stalen messen zijn supermooi afgewerkt en zijn niet te missen uit elke God of War collectie.
